How We Met

   One night in August 2019, Tony and Ashley met each other at a meetup in Faces nightclub. After a few hours of drinking, dancing, and chatting with Tony and the meetup group, Ashley misplaced her cellphone. Realizing this, she frantically searched her purse and then left the group to look elsewhere.
   She hoped she'd get lucky in finding her phone somewhere on the crowded dancefloor or maybe at one of the bars, but the crowd was too overwhelming. Discouraged, she turned around and saw that Tony was not too far behind her.  When he reached her, he asked "What are you looking for?" "My phone," she said. With a big grin on his face, Tony said, "That one?", pointing to Ashley's butt. It was in her back pocket.
   What a wave of relief it was for Ashley. She gave Tony a big bear hug and decided they should be friends. Of course, after getting to know each other better they became much more than friends.

   Now, Ashley and Tony live together in Natomas with their two cats, Tegan and Moogle. They enjoy traveling, cooking together, working on home improvement projects, playing board games, Pokemon Go, and Bocce ball.

The Proposal

   Ashley and Tony went on a cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada in December of 2021 with their friends, Kayla and Amrita. On the first day of the cruise, they wandered around the cruise ship and discovered that the helipad had the most beautiful ocean views.
   After an excursion day on Catalina Island, they returned to the ship's helipad and spent the evening taking goofy photos and enjoying the colorful sky as the sun set behind the island.  As the sun got closer to setting, Kayla took the camera and directed Tony and Ashley to pose for some pictures. Little did Tony and Ashley know, Kayla was actually recording a video- and the timing was perfect. Watch the video to see the proposal.
